The garden, managed by Wasatch Community Gardens, was officially purchased on June 18, 2008. Nurtured by local residents for the past 25 years, the 4th East Garden has become an organic gem within Salt Lake City offering fresh produce, gardening education, and diverse community interaction. The physical, social, and psychological benefit of the living garden among urban dwellers is a valuable asset to all who cooperate in and around the 4th East Community Garden. Salt Lake City holds the conservation easement for this property.
