Reserve an Athletic Field
You can reserve an athletic field for sports games, tournaments, practices, or events.
We have:
- 32 multi-use fields
- 22 baseball/softball fields
- 6 sand volleyball courts
Need To Know
- Costs vary, they can range from $8 to $23.
- Reserve at least 3 business days in advance.
- Fields are available April through October, weather permitting.
- Historical use leagues get early registration access:
- February 1, 9 a.m. for Spring
- April 1, 9 a.m. for Summer/Fall
Before You Start
Make sure you know the dates, times, and locations you want to reserve. You can book multiple days during booking. Be ready to provide details about your activity, including the type of event and number of attendees.

We have a different process to reserve fields at Laird, Kay Rees, Madsen, Stratford, and Curtis parks. Instead of the online reservation system, email AthleticFields@slc.gov or call 801-972-7800.
Seasonal Registration Dates
If your league has previously reserved fields, you are considered a historical use league and you get early access to reservations.

Steps
1. Check availability
Visit the field calendar to see which fields are open.
2. Login and check your balance
If you do not have an ActiveNet account create one here.
Login to ActiveNet and make sure you don’t have any outstanding balances. If you do, pay them. You won’t be able to make a new reservation if you have an outstanding balance.
3. Make your reservation in ActiveNet
Choose your fields and dates you would like to reserve by clicking here. Follow the directions in ActiveNet to create and pay for your reservation. Upon completion you will receive your permit and receipt via email.
What’s Next
Once you pay, the reservation is complete. Your group has exclusive use of the reserved field during the scheduled time. Bring your confirmation in case of any disputes.
Changes or cancellations
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, contact us as soon as possible.
Bad weather or field maintenance
We may close fields for maintenance or unsafe weather. If this happens you will need to contact us within 48 hours and we will credit your account and you can use it for a future reservation. We do not issue refunds.
