Here are the key findings from the 2025 Water Conservation Plan.
- Current water demand is 87,000-acre feet.
- Without additional conservation, demand by 2060 could be 131,000-acre feet.
- Currently, we have an average supply of around 97,620-acre feet.
- Our future supply is projected to be 126,120-acre feet.
- When we plan, we don’t use all of our water every year; this water is called redundant supply and is 15,000-acre feet. This water helps carry us through lower water years.
- This means we need to reduce water use by an additional 20,780-acre feet over current conservation levels by 2060.
