Overview
We are rehabilitating the aging sewer line along West Temple from 1300 South to Utopia Ave. The contractor is using an innovative trenchless method, which accesses the sewer from manholes to reline the pipe. An above ground temporary sewer bypass will be in place along West Temple and nearby streets. Work will be conducted in segments.
Timeline
Phase 1 construction between 1300 South and 1700 South began on Oct 6, 2025. This phase will occur in 3 segments over several months. Each segment is expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete, pending that there are no unforeseen conditions in the sewer line.

Construction Impacts
West Temple:
- West Temple will be restricted to local traffic only
