The 900 South reconstruction is now complete! The project extended the 9-Line Trail corridor into an attractive, safe, and inclusive place for neighbors, businesses, and street users.
1100 East Reconstruction (900 South to Logan Ave)
This project reconstructed pavement, sidewalks, and gutters; and provide safety improvements, traffic calming features, and bicycle lanes along 1100 East.
Foothill Drive and Sunnyside Ave Intersection Reconstruction
The Foothill and Sunnyside intersection reconstruction project replaced aging pavement on Sunnyside Avenue, made the intersection safer for pedestrians, and connected existing bike and pedestrian trails.
300 West (North Temple to 1000 North)
The Salt Lake City Engineering Division completed 300 West streetscape improvements in 2021, enhancing pedestrian safety with curb extensions and new crossing signals. The project also added landscaping near Warm Springs Park and involved UTA bus stop upgrades for better accessibility
500 East Reconstruction (1700 South to 2100 South)
500 East from 1700 South to 2100 South was reconstructed in 2020. In addition to new pavement, the roadway was improved with a northbound bike lane, upgraded bus stops, and raised crosswalks.
900 East Reconstruction (Hollywood Ave to 2700 South)
900 East from Hollywood Avenue to 2700 South was reconstructed in 2021. The aging asphalt pavement was replaced and improvements were made to the pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
Sunnyside Ave and 1400 East Intersection Realignment
In September 2020, Salt Lake City reconfigured the Sunnyside Avenue and 1400 East intersection to improve safety and visibility for all travelers. The new design improves access in and out of the neighborhood and the tennis courts.
Whitlock Avenue Reconstruction (Highland Drive to Elizabeth Street)
In 2020, Salt Lake City upgraded Whitlock Avenue from Highland Drive to Elizabeth Street through the Capital Improvement Program, adding new curb and gutter, repairing sidewalks, improving pedestrian ramps, and rebuilding drive approaches.
1900 East Reconstruction (Wilmington Ave to Parleys Canyon Blvd)
This section of 1900 East, from Wilmington Avenue to Parleys Canyon Boulevard, was reconstructed in 2020 to prolong the lifespan of the street, improve drainage, and enhance the travel experience.
700 West Reconstruction (1600 South to 2100 South)
The 2020 reconstruction of 700 West between 1600 South and 2100 South extended the road’s lifespan with new asphalt, drive approaches, and improved drainage. New sidewalks and pedestrian ramps were added to enhance safety and comfort.
