Notice of FY23-24 HSD Federal Grants Open Applications

Notice of Open Applications for HSD Federal Grants for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024, Beginning Wednesday, October 1, 2022

Salt Lake City will be accepting applications from local nonprofits to receive federal grants designed to help with a range of community development needs, affordable and emergency housing assistance, and housing assistance for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.

This annual endeavor is a key funding source for many nonprofits doing important work in helping those in need of housing. While the amount of federal dollars available for this round of grants, which will be distributed in 2023, has yet to be determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Salt Lake City awarded more than $6.9 million to projects for the 2022-23 program year.

Applications are being accepted for the following annual U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant programs: CDBG, ESG, HOME, and HOPWA. All applications must be in alignment with goals and objectives outlined in Salt Lake City’s Housing Plan, Growing SLC, and the City’s 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. Applications will be open from Saturday, October 1, 2022, and must be submitted by 11:59 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
