Salt Lake City is happy to announce that the 2025-2026 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants are NOW OPEN for applications. Applications will be accepted for the following annual HUD grant programs:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)

- Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA)
Applications will be open from Tuesday, October 1 to Friday, October 18, 2024. All applications must be submitted by October 18 at 4:59 PM. Late applications will not be accepted.
Starting this year the City is also happy to announce the launch of a new grant solutions software, Neighborly Software. This new application platform will replace our previous platform, ZoomGrants. If applicants encounter setbacks in their application, or if there are additional questions about this new application platform, please contact Dennis Rutledge at dennis.rutledge@slc.gov.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult the 2025-2026 Application Handbook as a part of their application. You can find the handbook on our Federal Funding homepage. An optional training session will be held on October 7, 2024, from 10-12pm via Zoom.
