FY24-25 Salt Lake City Annual Action Plan Comment Period Now Open

Salt Lake City is accepting public comments on the City’s proposed Annual Action Plan for fiscal year 2024-2025, for recommended projects and activities to be undertaken with federal funds under the following U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) $5,597,763
    CDBG funds may be used for the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments for persons of low and moderate-income.
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) $303,100
    ESG funds may be used to assist individuals and families regain housing stability after experiencing a housing or homelessness crisis.
  • HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) $2,023,661
    HOME funds may be used to create affordable housing opportunities for low-income households.
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) $1,012,841
    HOPWA funds may be used to provide housing assistance and related supportive services to persons living With HIV/AIDS and their families.
  • Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) $287,752
    CDBG funds may be used for the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments for individuals who are low-moderate income and to help prepare, prevent or respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • HOME Investment Partnership Program – American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) $3,533,195
    HOME-ARP funding is to be used on Tenant Based Rental Assistance and Development of Affordable Rental Housing for individuals who meet one of the qualifying populations for the award.

The plan is available for review and copies may be obtained by appointment in the Housing Stability Division Office, located at the Salt Lake City & County Building – 451 S State Street, Room 445, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. Information about the City’s Annual Action Plan for 2024-2025, and the related Consolidated Plan for 2020-2024 can also be found on Salt Lake City’s Housing Stability website at https://www.slc.gov/housingstability/.

Comments will be accepted for 32 days, from Sunday, April 7th, 2024, to Wednesday May 10th, 2024.
Please provide comments to Dennis Rutledge, Community Development Grant Supervisor, Housing Stability Division, at dennis.rutledge@slcgov.com. All comments received during the public comment period will be provided to HUD. The final Annual Action Plan for FY 2024-2025 will be submitted to HUD for review and approval on or prior to May 15, 2024.
