Now Accepting HUD Annual Action Plan Public Comment

Salt Lake City is currently accepting public comments on the City’s proposed 2025-2026 fiscal year Annual Action Plan. The Plan includes recommended projects and activities to be operated with federal funds. These funds fall under the following U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – $ 4,885,779
    CDBG funds may be used for the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments for persons of low and moderate-income.
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) – $298,628
    ESG funds may be used to assist individuals and families regain housing stability after experiencing a housing or homelessness crisis.
  • HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) – $ 1,645,258
    HOME funds may be used to create affordable housing opportunities for low-income households.
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) – $945,200
    HOPWA funds may be used to provide housing assistance and related supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families.

Comments will be accepted from Monday, April 7th, 2025, to Saturday, May 10th, 2025. All comments received during the public comment period will be provided to HUD. The final Annual Action Plan will be submitted to HUD for review and approval on or prior to May 15, 2025.

The draft Annual Action Plan is available for review online. The public may request a copy of the draft plan by appointment in the Housing Stability Division Office, located at the Salt Lake City & County Building (451 S State Street, Room 445, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111).
