Welcoming Users to the Foothills
Foothills Welcome Stations are (or will be) located at all major and minor trailhead and trail access locations for SLC foothills trails. What will you find at our Welcome Stations?
- Sign in: Take a moment to scan the QR code on the Welcome sign and complete a 2 question survey.
- The survey asks what type of recreation (hiking, biking, with or without dogs) you are participating in and your home zip code, and serves as a digital trail counter.
- This data helps us schedule maintenance across the Foothills more efficiently. Data will not be used for marketing purposes or for issuing citations.
- Grab a dog waste bag: Stations include dog waste bag dispensers and waste bins to encourage trail users to “Limit Your Impact” by bagging, carrying and disposing of dog waste and any other trail trash.
- Review local ordinances: Foothills safety ordinances and regulations are listed along with a friendly reminder to make our trails inclusive, safe places for all trail users. Learn how you can recreate with other trail users and the environment and Be W.I.L.D. in the Foothills!
