Recycling Exemption Application Form

RECYCLING EXEMPTION APPLICATION FORM

Salt Lake City amended its Solid Waste and Recycling Ordinance (9.08.200) to include business and multi-family properties. The amendment went into effect January 4, 2016.  Businesses had until January 4, 2018 to comply.

Under certain circumstances, businesses and properties within Salt Lake City may be exempt from the ordinance. If you would like to apply for exemption status, please complete the form below and email it to slcrecycles@slcgov.com.

Following the submission of the form, the Waste & Recycling Division Permits Coordinator will review the application and will contact you to schedule a site visit. After the site visit, the Waste & Recycling Division Permits Coordinator will make the determination on whether the exemption status will be granted.
