You must enroll in these benefits within 60 days of your hire date or during open enrollment, which takes place each May.

  • Accident Insurance – This coverage can help pay essential living expenses and costs not covered by your medical insurance (Plan Summary)
  • Critical Illness – If a serious illness (such as heart attack, cancer, or stroke) happens to you or a loved one, critical illness insurance provides you with a lump-sum payment that can be used to pay expenses not usually covered by major medical (Plan Summary)
  • Hospital Indemnity – Group Hospital Indemnity Insurance can complement your medical coverage by helping to ease the financial impact of hospitalization (Plan Summary)

Accident Weekly Indemnity

Accident Weekly Indemnity coverage pays you a weekly amount if you are unable to work due to an accident. The Coverage ranges from $25/week to $500/week, depending on your monthly base salary. The bi-weekly employee cost for this coverage ranges from $0.12 to $2.32. You must be enrolled in Optional AD&D coverage to enroll in Accident Weekly Indemnity Coverage.

Accident Medical Expense

You can enroll in Accident Medical Expense coverage, which will pay you a lump sum of $2,500 if you have an accident that causes high medical expenses, such as a broken limb or heart attack. The bi-weekly cost for employees is $0.38.
