The New Hire Orientation has two components; a 1 day instructor-led portion and 4 online modules to completed by all new hires. New Hire Orientation is held every other Tuesday in the Employee University Learning Center at the City and County Building ( 451 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, USA (map)) in room 126. After attending the instructor-led portion employees may login to Cornerstone LMS, using their individual ID and password provided in Day I orientation, to complete the below 4 online modules:
1. Getting to Know the City – This video introduces you to the city’s values and what each of its departments does to keep us moving day in and day out. It also includes an introduction from Mayor Biskupski.
2. Sustainability – How You Can Help – This video talks about the city’s sustainability’s goals and how you, as an employee, can help.
3. Worker’s Comp and Risk Management – This video describes what to do if you are involved in an accident in a city vehicle or in a personal vehicle while on city business. It also talks about workers’ compensation and what happens if you get injured on the job.
4. Voluntary Benefits – This video introduces you to the variety of additional benefits available through the Voluntary Benefits website.
