A “spoof” phone call, allegedly from Salt Lake City Public Utilities, is making the rounds today along the Wasatch Front. Our customer service number–801-483-6900–shows as caller ID. Callers have reported the person on the other end is offering “a way to save energy costs.” If a call is legitimately from Public Utilities’ customer service, our representatives will always identify themselves first. Please do not answer these calls, and there is no need to call back. Thank you!
