It’s simple — and free — to test your lawn sprinkling systems for maximum efficiency and conservation. Public Utilities works with Utah State University’s Center for Water Efficient Landscaping and the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy, to provide water checks to households and commercial properties in our service area.

Water is a valuable and limited resource. About half of residential water use goes to our home landscapes. Too often, we apply water inefficiently, either due to sprinkler system design flaws, maintenance issues, or because we run sprinklers too frequently or for too long. Let’s get efficient!
