On May 21 and June 4, the Salt Lake City Council will hold public comment sessions on the City’s 2019-2020 proposed operating budget. More than $300 million of that document is the Public Utilities budget, which includes proposed rate increases to support improvements in water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure. We invite and welcome your comments at these meetings, which begin at 7 p.m. in Room 315 of the Salt Lake City and County Building, 451 S. State Street. The City Council must approve a budget before the start of the new Fiscal Year on July 1, 2019.
