No doubt you are busy raking fall leaves in your yard. We gently remind you to “leaf” nothing behind at your curb and gutter to clog storm drains. It’s also a good time to clean out your home’s rain gutters to keep them running free. Our storm water crews are out full-time clearing gutters and drains of debris before the snow flies, and they can use your help. Please put leaves and yard waste in your brown compost can. Or mulch the leaves directly into your grass. If you need an extra brown compost can this time of year, you may request one from the City’s Sustainability Department, while supplies last. Remember, with a cleaner and more sustainable environment in mind, sanitation trucks do not pick up bagged leaves at your curbside. Thank you for your help.
